It's getting to be that time: what are the hot Christmas toys this year? You know that they'll be on Santa's list! But here's a hint; since they are so hot, buy as early as you can to avoid disappointing the little ones.

What are the Hot Christmas Toys This Year?

At the top of the list has to be the Zhu Zhu Pets -- think of them as a cross between a Barbie doll and a furry pet rock. The Barbie comes from the fact that there are sooooo many accessories available for these furry creatures. The furry pet rock reference comes from the fact that they are...hamsters! But don't let the furry pet rock throw you -- the hamsters can scoot around like there's no tomorrow. These Zhu Zhu Pets toys are hot, hot, HOT and all the kids want them.

Bakugan is next on the list, and they were named one of the top toys for 2009. It's a game that involves balls, cards and action figures. There are also Bakugan games for Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Just like our friends the Zhu Zhu pets, Bakugan has accessories, such as launchers, galore. Oh, and the most-wanted of the Bakugan action figures? It's Bakugan 7 in 1 Maxus Dragonoid.

The movie was a hit for the fans, and Transformers action figures and toys are a big hit for the kids this year. Between Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Sideswipe, Soundwave and Megatron, they have the Transformers pretty much sewn up. But don't forget there still are others available!

The more things change, the more they stay the same, at least when it comes to Star Wars Lego toys. High up on the list is LEGO Star Wars The Battle of Endor (8038).

Here's something that's pretty new on the scene and rather intriguing: the Mindflex Game. The game supposedly uses the power of your mind to move a foam ball around an obstacle course. Like I said, sounds quite intriguing, so you should check it out; ages 8 and up so parents and teens might be interested in it as well.

Another for the more things change they stay the same category: Tickle Me Elmo is still in the top list. From dolls to hands to all kinds of things, this is aimed at the younger crowd.
